The next place that we looked at was on an acre, and it really looked like a cute house on the internet. Well it had some serious issues. I could tell I wouldn't like it when I saw it from the freeway. It was right next to 167. You could hear the noise from the house. And the acre of property was not usable at all. It was a huge hillside that was sluffing off toward the house. Not to mention the inside of the house wasn't that great either. In the upstairs, the ceiling was so low that I had to duck to get through the doorway. If you are six foot tall, you would literally have to crouch while walking around in the upstairs.
After seeing those two we were pretty disappointed. Then our relator showed us a house that was a little bit out of our price range. It was everything that we could have wanted and more. It has three bedrooms and two and a half baths. It is a 3/4 acre lot in a great neighborhood in Auburn.
It was a really hard decision, and I think it almost gave Eric a heart attack, but we put an offer on the house. After weeks and weeks of filling out paperwork, and doing inspections, and appraisals, and more paperwork, the house is finally ours. We just got approved for a loan. We sign the closing papers on February 28, and we move in on that first weekend in March. It is really exciting. Here is a pictures of the place.
