First Swim Lesson

Tommy had his first swim lesson today. He did pretty good for his second time in a pool. I took him up to the County Club one time before his swim lesson so he would understand what a pool was. He had only been in little kiddie pools so I had to explain how deep it was and that it gradually got deeper. But he did good. So I felt he would be OK to try lessons. The thing I was most worried about is he is still having trouble with potty training consistently. So I had to explain over and over again that we don't go potty in the pool. So far so good. Let's hope it stays that way.

After Tommy's incident at the ocean where he got scared by a wave and laid down in it and freaked out we weren't sure if he was going to freak out again. He was only scared for the first 5 seconds getting into the pool. Excited to see him learn more about swimming and get more comfortable in the water.

Not Quite Power Wheels

The boys have been lucky to receive a bunch of hand me down Power Wheels. Unfortunately as the were already well loved they didn't function well or at least not for long. So they now have not quite Power Wheels. It reminds me of when Wes was a kid and everyone who came to the house had to push him is his blue truck because it had no battery at all. What a back breaking job. It is too funny to watch Eric try to convince the boys to push each other. That didn't last for long :)

Strawberry Festival

Another Great year at the Strawberry Festival. The boys had a great time at the parade. They especially liked the fire truck. And they even get to do some sort of rides. Though not like the good old days. The Great Divide played the street dance and on Sunday we got to dunk Lena in the dunk tank.

Dirty Boys

The boys have been looking for places to play around the yard. Unfortunately most of it is an uneven dust bowl. But they enjoy spending time with daddy out there.

I went up to the top of the Columbia Tower Club for a work meeting. First time I have been up there. It is pretty high. The view was amazing. Even from the bathroom.

I Want My Daddy

Today was a fun child development experiment. What happens when older brother asks dad if he can ride home in daddy's truck and daddy says yes. But there is no room in daddy's truck for younger brother. Younger brother cries the whole way home. At least you know he loves his daddy :)

Hydros

The boys got to see their first hydros. They were dreaming about speed boats last night. The first thing Jake said when he woke up was speed boats. They loved hearing those engines roar. Tom's favorite thing about Mariners games is the hydro race on the big screen. So he has been making red, green and yellow hydros out of legos at home and racing them. So you can image he was super excited to see real hydros. And the winner is...Karl Olsen!

Crazy Kids

Went over to Tony & Susan's for July 3rd for a BBQ. The Hart's were there as well. I didn't get many pictures because the kids were going so crazy with fun. But Eric did snap a coupe shots of the big kids climbing up the tree in the driveway. It about gave me a heart attack. But they seemed to be having a great time.
