Tommy wrestled really hard today. He spent most of his first three matches on his back. But he did not let them pin him. He pushed himself so hard in the first match to not get pinned that he almost passed out. I had to take him outside for air. Imagine holding this crazy position he put himself in while someone is pushing against you. He really hates to lose. He did get a bonus fourth match and he won it on points. So he was pretty happy about that.

The Rockbusters were at the High School meet tonight. They got to do a little intro under the lights and cheer on the wrestlers. This includes a some pictures that Tommy took himself with his camera.

The boys had their second wrestling match tonight. Tommy had some improvement today. He won one match by 1. And it seems like every year there is going to be a battle with his practice partner and bud Dominique. This is always an epic battle. Dom won by one point this year. Jake is still figuring things out. Kind of rough as he is going up against tough kids. But he is still trying.

The boys had their first wrestling meet in 2 years on Friday. They have only been on the mat practicing for 2 weeks, so it was a bit of a learning experience. But they were excited to get out there and try. Jake did not have a win, but fought hard and was a squirrely little guy who got lots of escapes. Tommy did manage to get one win on points. He is pretty strong, but still figuring out good form as he is wrestling the big boys now who are older than him. It was great to be back on the mat.

Snow started melting this weekend. So the last 3 days we have been sorting and building Legos. New sets and repairing old sets. Back to school tomorrow.
