I told Tommy that we had to get looking all pretty because it was picture day. So we got downstairs and were putting on our shoes and Tommy said he was ready for his cheesy.

Dancing Jake
Jake found one of the signing birthday cards on the piano and started walking around with it and then dancing. Pretty cute. It is funny because Tom used to really be obsessed with these type of cards when he was young too.
Big Boy Takes a Beating
At the Puyallup Fair Tom picked out a toy. He really wanted the blow up hammer. We said he could have one toy so we let him get it. But of course all he wanted to do was hit things. So we brought out Big Boy Seahawk and let him give him a beating. Now Big Boy and the Hammer are hiding for a while.

Puyallup Fair
We went to the Puyallup Fair today, It was a bit exhausting, but Tom especially had a ton of fun. We took the Sounder Train again. We knew what we were doing this time so it was a little better. The toughest part for the kids was waiting for the train or shuttle bus to move. And they trains were so spread out that we ended staying at the fair probably longer than the kids could handle.
We did a lot more rides this time. Jake was only big enough to do the Carousel which he loved once it started moving. Tom loved all the rides. He wasn't big enough to do some of the cooler ones, but he did every kids vehicle ride they had. It was hard to tear him away from there to even eat. We walked through the barns. Tom loved the animals. Jake slept through most of the barns. But do wake up for the petting area. Both boys loved touching the soft and fluffy animals.
We also did a few games to use up our remaining tickets. Tom was the only one who won although he kind of cheated. He didn't follow the game rules for getting the ball in the basket but he was so excited he made it in and the lady wasn't paying attention. So he got a tiger. Then I got the challenge of figuring how to get everything on the train with us home :)

Jaming
The boys have a box of musical toys. They don't play with them all the time, but when they do they really have a blast.

Seahawks
The boys didn't really want to watch the game with me. But they did like the practice session. We only bring out the big boy Seahawks occasionally because things usually start to get a little crazy. But the boys did have a lot of fun.

Mariner's & Popcorn
Tom and I got to go to another game. This time we sat in our regular seats. Tom liked it so much better because he got a front row seat and could see the whole game. His favorite thing about the game was the popcorn though. It kept him busy for quite a while. We had a great time.
Singing and Dancing
Jake is really into singing and dancing right now. He likes to play all the musical instruments that we have. Especially the drums. Tom will join in too. His favorite is the guitar. Then we start making noise as loud as possible. Jake will actually pluck the strings on the guitar too and thinks that is pretty cool.
He also started singing. His favorite is Mickey Mouse Club House Hot Dog song. He will make and "Aaaaaahhhh" sound and then dance in a circle. It is pretty cute. And who doesn't love hearing the Hot Dog song a million times :)

Jake Drawing
Jake has been a little hesitant to leave me each day when I drop him off at school. But I think he is really learning things and liking exploring new things. Tom is not really in a drawing phase right now. He is more interested in cars and things. So we haven't been coloring much at home. But Jake all of a sudden really wanted to start looking at all the drawing stuff in the kitchen. So I put him up at the little table and away he went. He loves it. He like drawing on paper. He like drawing on the erase board. He like playing with the magnets. It is fun to see him get his own personality and make his own choices outside of just following what Tom does.

Great Divide in the Park
The boys decided that even though it was a Thursday and somewhat difficult to manage, we would attempt to go see the Great Divide in the Park. I said to myself, if we get in the car after work and go and traffic isn't so horrible that we can make a ferry in time then we will go. If not, we will just turn around. Luck have it, we made the ferry.
I am glad we made it too. What a great family event. I wish every concert was there at the park. The kids went crazy and played. And even though I was running throughout the playground after them I got to hear all the music. And what a beautiful day for it too. And a great night under the stars. It was a great night out with great music.

Crab Pincher
Tom is so funny. He loves his crab. I think he would probably eat it every day. He loves messing around with it too. Today he got some Dungeness crab from our neighbor and he was messing around with the clay using it as a pincher to pick up the crab and put it in his mouth. It was very cute to watch. He also asked me if a crab was a dinosaur. I said no but didn't think he was really ready for me to fully explain dinosaurs.

Bike Ridding
My mom got a little bicycle that has training wheels from Granny's. I didn't really think Tom was quite ready for it but once he saw it he wanted to give it a try. Some else had given us a helmet that we have been holding on to. So we got him out in the driveway to see how it went. Tom mostly just wanted to be pushed. After about five minutes of trying to learn how to pedal he didn't have the patience any more and we had to call it quits for the day. I think it will go back into garage for a couple more months before we try again.

Tommy's Imagination
Tommy's imagination has really been growing. He still loves to play with cars the most. But he makes little pretend scenes with them that he narrates. It is pretty cute. And he comes up with some interesting stuff. For a while I thought he had an imaginary friend named Jerry. He kept referring to a Jerry while playing and narrating his stories. Then I figured out that it is the name of one of the characters in one of the DVDs he watches. Since he only watches in it the car with his headphones on I had never heard the name of the characters. Now it is kind of a joke between me and tome. We like to call each other Jerry just for fun.
No No & Owies
Jake's favorite words right now are No No & Owies.
He says No No when you ask him any question. He actually thinks he is pretty funny at times because he knows he is saying no when he should be saying yes. He is really picking up things that brother and mommy do while talking to each other.
He also says Owies all the time. It is more like a word for help or I want some thing. He says it when he is hurt, when he wants a something he can't reach, when he wants attention, when he wants his sippy. Pretty much when there is anything that he wants. He says it so much that day care asked me if he is in pain :)
