Tiny Santa Letters

I asked the boys to write their Santa letters. They came back with these tiny scraps of paper. Not sure what was up with that. Jake even wrote a Santa letter for each of his cats.

Excited For Christmas

I brought a couple boxes of decorations out and the boys started going crazy. It was like "Santa is coming" from the Elf movie.

Dinner With Lena

We went over to dinner at Tony and Susan's to share in eating leftovers. It was a fun and easy dinner. We spent all of our time hanging out and not cooking. The boys were so excited to get to go in their house and hang out with Lena. And play Minecraft. This is their first time going into their house since COVID.

Turkey at Home

As we have done for several years now, we cooked our own turnkey at home over the holiday weekend. Turkey, stuffing, gravy, roasted potatoes and Brussel sprouts. And the most exciting part for Tommy was that we set a fancy table up with all the fancy dishes. And now we will have turkey leftovers for days. Yum.

Thanksgiving

Everyone in our family now has at least some vaccine shot done. So we were able to gather together for Thanksgiving. It was very nice to get to visit with everyone.

Turkey Trot

Tommy was super excited that he got to do the Turkey Trot this year. For those of you that don't know about this, Chautauqua 4th and 5th graders do a 1 mile run while chasing a turkey (high school cross country runner wearing a turkey hat). The winner got a turkey. 2nd place got a chicken. 3rd place got a game hen. 4th place got a hard boiled egg. Tommy has been looking forward to this since he first saw it in kindergarten. He ended up taking 5 or 6th place out of all 4th graders. He was super proud of himself. And he wore Eric's old track jersey for good luck.

Wrestling Season Has Begun

Wrestling season has begun. Our club elected to start outside and let kids get their vaccines before squeezing into our tiny wrestling room. Tommy got his first shot today! Jake gets his Tuesday! It has been pretty rainy. But the boys are excited to be back at wrestling. They are eager to get back on the mat. I got them a wrestling dummy, you stuff with towels and stuff, to work on their moves at home. They are really excited.
