Christmas

Christmas morning the boys woke up to find Santa had brought Tommy a super cool Bat Mobile and Jake a remote control Blaze. They were super excited about. It was a fun filled morning of opening presents, watching Christmas movies, cooking, and then driving the Bat Mobile around.

We then went over to Grandma and Grandpa's house for dinner. The boys had so much fun playing with Ruby and Jett. It makes me so happy to see them enjoy time with their cousins like I used to when I was a kid. And like always dinner was delicious.

Christmas Eve

We spent Christmas Eve over at my parents house. We brought over the Christmas Train which thrilled Tom. Jake brought his dancing Snoopy which he loved. We watched Christmas movies and did some crafts for a little gift we left them open. Then we put out the big Santa cookie and put the kids to bed. And the elves got to work.

Decorating for Christmas

We did our fabulous decorating for Christmas. I put up our little Charlie Brown Tree. And also the felt Christmas tree that I made the boys which they did enjoy. I did cut a couple branches and make them into a little wreath with what the holly which the boys call Christmas berries. Tommy was really sad about not getting all the decorations especially the Christmas Train. We did take it over to Cousin Lena's to let them run it there but it wasn't the same. Oh well. There will be other years.

The boys have really been into Christmas music this year which we have been watching on U-Tube. And they have been practicing the songs for making their Christmas ornament. Which is fun but also challenging. I think I am at 30 videos to edit into one clip for the ornament :) And we have been watching all the favorite Christmas movies. I drew Jake a snowman on our dry erase board. That little stinker is so smart he told me the snowman didn't look right. We had just watched Frozen and he made me draw it just like Olaf. Then we watched Frosty the Snowman and he made me draw one just like Frosty. It took me several tries to get it to his liking, but I think I got it pretty close. Silly boy.

Snow!

Had to let the boys out last night to see the snow because who knew how long it would last. They were lucky enough for it to last for school the next morning and they got to play in the snow at school.

Happy 10th Anniversary!

10 years ago today was for sure a day to remember forever. Happy Anniversary to my sweetheart. We got to go out on an actual date. He took me to go see Fantastic Beasts at the Supermall and then we went to have dinner at Salty at Redondo Beach. It was very reminiscent of 10 years ago when we could go out somewhere without having to pack diapers, clothes, food and everything in between. Thanks to my parents for spending the day with the kids.

Couldn't resist going back and looking at all the wedding photos from the day. There were so many great ones.

I am so glad I wrote things down because I already started to forget certain things. It was kind of funny that last weekend we went to the Pt Robinson open house and even went into the house we stayed at and had our pictures taken at.

Rudolph

Sunday dinner today included the reading of the Rudolph.

Pt Robinson Celebration

I saw a notice online that Pt Robinson was having an open house today. The boys like going there so we decided to go. We took a tour of the lighthouse. We threw some rocks on the beach. I shopped for a couple little Christmas presents in the shop. They had the keepers quarters open with a party inside. We went in for snacks and music and a surprise appearance by Santa.

Harris Rebar Holiday Party

To cap off an eventful day we went to the Harris Rebar holiday party in the club area at the Seattle Thunderbirds. We got there early to have a private dinner in the club area. Watched the Zamboni do it's job while we ate. And then we got to see most of the game. Thanks Justin and Sharea for watching the boys for a little while.

Scuba Santa

After we went to the Santa breakfast we had some time to kill. So we decided to go to the Seattle Aquarium. They had a special day going on with the scuba diver dressed as Santa. They boys had a good time.

Holiday Breakfast at Russell

Pam took us to the Holiday Breakfast that her Russell office in downtown Seattle. The boys love to go downtown and see all the big buildings and of course Tom's favorite the Space Needle. Pam's company held a great party. The breakfast was gigantic with every food you could imagine. Then they had a bunch of little activities for the kids to do and Santa available for pictures for free. And the line was only 5 people long. It was great. And the boys loved looking at all the things from high up in the building. There was a roof top garden there to look at. It was locked so we couldn't go outside. But I have never seen one before so it was very cool to look at. And the boys were mesmerized by the construction going on across the street :) Thanks for a fun morning Pam!

Happy Birthday Eric!

Eric didn't want much for his birthday. We just made him a little dinner and bought him a tiny little cake. Then he went off to hang out with the boys at the Sportsman's Club meeting.

Thanksgiving

We went to Thanksgiving at Grandma & Grandpa's house. The boys had so much fun with Cousin Ruby and Jett. They played in the playroom with the toys, but the most popular thing was what they called "The Cheese". It is a foam piece that Grandma had used when supporting her broken wrist. The kids turned it into an impromptu football match over the cheese.

Sunday Dinner

We have been going over to Tony and Susan's for dinner on Sundays. It is a nice break for rainy days in a 5th wheel. I feel a little bad that the kids just want to run like crazy when they get there but they love stretching their legs and love seeing their Cousin Lena.

Working in the Woods

Clearing out some dead, fallen trees so we can try to mark our site plan. Tom has been trying to use his toy chainsaw to help out :) He has picked up up quite a few branches though. And then Jake had to take a turn of course.

Happy Halloween

The boys love Halloween. And this year was a great one. It was the first year that we didn't decorate our house and hand out candy :( But it was the first time we really took both boys out for more than just a couple of houses of trick or treating. First the boys went dressed up to school. No sugar yet and already so excited I could barely settle them down. They really wanted to use the hair color spray. So we made Tommy a Ninja Turtle with green hair. And Jake was Superman with red and blue hair.

After school we got all changed up into our trick or treating costumes. Tom was a snow leopard and Jake was a dog. Then we went uptown to do our first trick or treating on Vashon. It is a pretty cool thing. We met up with cousin Lena and then I think we pretty much saw the whole town. Or at least all of those with kids. The boys loved looking at all the costumes and decorations. And of course getting candy. They even got to trick or treat at a police car. I told them that you could go say hi, and he happened to have candy!

Then we wanted to take them for a little old school Vashon, so we hit up a couple houses on the Gold Beach loop and then went home and crashed. The boys had so much fun.

Pumpkin Carving

We did get a little bit of pumpkin carving done this year. The boys were not able to help a whole lot other than try to scoop out a little bit of the seeds and tell me what they wanted on their pumpkin. The boys really love lighting them up and seeing them glow when they are all done.

Tommy's Soccer

Tommy decided he had to have daddy on the field with him now to be able to go out there. Not sure if he just wants to spend more time with daddy or what :) But he is seeming to enjoy playing defense and trying to take away the ball. Just like his mom.

Eagles Halloween

We took the boys up to the Eagles Halloween. We met up with Monique, Calvin & Angelica. The boys had a great time being silly in their costumes.

Halloween Train

We got to go on the Halloween Train again this year. The kids are love it and this year we got the added bonus of getting to go to the train museum to see some of the old trains. Scary for a little moment when Tommy took off running and we had to look down numerous isles to find him. But other than that it was fun. And we got to see the spectacular view of Snoqualmie Falls and the valley at the end.
