I took the boys to their last Mariners game of the year. It was season ticket holder night. They let us in 3 hours early so we got to watch batting practice. Players gave us balls. The boys got a couple autographs. We almost got Ichiro's. He did roll us a ball. We also got a bunch of giveaways. And a bunch of free food. The boys also had a good time during the game. See ya next season Mariners.

Jake Ridding His Bike
We went to the park today. Jake has been ridding his balance bike for a while now. He has been cruising on it. So we brought his pedal bike to the park. It still had the training wheels on, so we put them up. He was a little worried at the start. But he started cruising no problem. Way to go big boy.

Eric and I took the boys to the Mariners game. It was Ichiro bobblehead night. Tommy got a ball during batting practice, and an autograph. He also got a special award from the club and gave a speech. We had a great time.

Monkey in the Mirror Book
At story time tonight I picked my really old book off the book shelf. My Grandma Clarice gave it to me as she used to read it to me when I was a kid. I totally forgot it had a letter in it. I read it to the boys before I started the story. Yes I totally cried.

Whisper Spelling Game
A couple times now the boys and I have played what I call he whisper spelling game. I whisper a word or a sentence in their ear and then they write it on their board. Then the other brother tries to read what they wrote. Here is Jake's first attempt at it. He did better than I thought he would. Then Tom came and helped correct it for him.

Zehndershoes
Another year of Zehndershoes. The highlight of the day definitely had to be the 2200 lightning strikes that blew threw western Washington while we were standing out there. It was amazing. Huge bolts were streaming across the sky. Eric and I both finished in the top 16 for singles. We lost in the first round for doubles. I wasn't sure I was going to play since I just had surgery. But I stood at the front of the pit and didn't take a step at all.

Surgery
Out of surgery. No issues. They removed some meniscus. Super easy. 2 days of icing and elevation. Should be walking normally in a week. Hopefully the rest of the meniscus holds up and I have no more issues down the road.

Tommy's First Day of School
Tommy's first day of 2nd Grade was a success. He's rocking it in his new Pokemon hat that he is obsessed with. And Jake got to have another meeting with his teacher. He brought his baby seal because he was feeling a little nervous. His first full day of Kindergarten is Thursday. I can't wait!
