Santa Letters

The boys wrote their Santa letters so that Elffy Nick could take them to Santa. Tommy knew what he wanted right away. He wanted a big RC car. Jake had several ideas I had to veto. His first one was chicken wings and gravy. I had to remind him of the year he asked for a talking book and Tommy asked for a race track. And that Jake cried when he saw he got a book and Tommy got a race track Christmas morning. So he picked a robot instead.

Little Bit of Snow

We have had a little bit of snow. The boys are super excited about it. Still headed to school today, but they got to play in it a little before school.

Santa Pictures

Lena invited the boys to get a Santa picture with her this year. I think she was feeling a little old for a Santa picture. So we said yes. Thank goodness they smiled.

Thanksgiving

It wasn't really the Thanksgiving we were hoping for. Jake was sick so we spent the day at home and then picked up dinner from my parent's house and took it home and ate it. Eric spent most of the day outside messing around with metal projects and Tommy watched the parade. Oh well, hopefully it is a better Christmas.

Turkey Trot

It was a very competitive Turkey Trot again this year. Tommy worked so hard. He said the he tried to push it up the hill at the end the best he could but it took so much out of him that he got passed right at the finish line. You can tell he really gave it his all. He took 7th place though which he was proud of. His grade has some really strong athletes. Tommy wore Eric's track jersey again this year. I am not sure he is even going to fit into it next year.

Bike Park

Eric took Tommy to the bike park while Jake was at a play date. They have finished the new ramps which Tommy tried out.

Tommy's Last Soccer Game

Tommy had his last soccer game of the season and they ended it with a win. They had a lot of fun this year and managed to not have a single rainy soccer game. To top it all off they went to celebrate the end of the season up at Island Queen, who was the team sponsor of the Island Kings.

Looking for Salmon

After Tommy's soccer team won big today, we went to look for salmon in the creek. I could only walk to the bridge, but I got to see three swimming by. The boys went down the path a little way. There was a group looking at them by the log and said they saw 7 hanging out there. Jake claimed he saw 18. Tommy claimed he saw 28 including one jumping over a log. Some fish story...

Tommy's Seventh Soccer Game

Tommy's team did great today. The poor other team had no subs. And one kid who looked like he was a 6 year old younger brother that was a little lost out there. They won 8-0. Tommy got to play striker for a little while and took a couple shots on goal. So that was exciting for him.
