Snow Day 6

Day 6 of snow. All their nice snow ball snow turned back to powder over night. But they still enjoyed the snow. And then they rang in the new year.

Snow Day 5

Day 5 of snow. The boys finally got their snow ball snow. They had a great day. We made a snowman. They made a snow castle. And then the snow ball fights began. So much my arm is a bit sore.

Snow Day 4

Day 4 of snow. They are still waiting for their snowball snow. Maybe tomorrow morning. For the time being they have begun excavating sheets of ice from the yard and collecting it. I asked them what they are doing. They said they are like Yukon Cornelius like in the Rudolph movie. Excavating for Silver and Gold.

Snow Day 3

Day 3 of snow. So much sledding fun that they broke one of their sleds. Now they have to ride together. Good luck finding a new one. And they did manage to make one large snow ball. It only took them 20 minutes :)

Christmas

With Tommy staying up to 11:30 PM on Christmas Eve, me remembering that Eric forgot to deal with the new bike for Tommy at 4:00 AM and having to wrap the present and move the bike, and then the boys waking up at 6:15 AM, I was so tired. We had a great time though. We went to my parents house for Christmas Eve. On Christmas Day it was just supposed to be us an my parents, but with the ferries being down and everything we were lucky enough to get to spend the day with Tony and his family again for all the seafood that you can eat. Or all that Tony can eat...

Christmas Eve

We had a nice day with the family. Everyone is busy with the in-laws tomorrow so we are doing our dinner today. We had an amazing prime rib. Tom has been setting all kinds of traps for Santa. He left a bunch of bells and stuff outside my bedroom door. Stack of coins next to Santa's cookie. I keep hear him running around the house setting traps and looking for Santa. It's gonna be a long night. He finally made it to sleep at 11:30 PM. I am going to be so tired tomorrow.

Watching Sing 2

We needed to go to town to do some last minute shopping. We had hoped to go to zoo lights but they were sold out. So instead we went to see Sing 2. And Lena walked across the ferry to meet us. The kids seemed to have a great time.

Cookie Making Day

The boys had an amazing day hanging out with some of their cousins making cookies. They were having so much fun we had to kick them outside to run around. It reminded me so much of spending the holidays with my cousins. Those were some of the best days of my childhood. I am so glad they got to experience one of those days.

Orcas at Pt Robinson

Finally got to see the Orcas. We were hoping to see them when we were down there on Sunday but did not luck out. I ran down there during my lunch break today and scored. Very cool. And then I saw an eagle right in front of our house while driving back home.

Santa Replies

Fisher Pond With Tommy

Jake went to Lucas' bowling birthday party today. So I took Tommy on a quick hike around Fisher Pond. It was amazing how fast we went without the slow poke Jake :) And the pond level is really high right now. The ducks were enjoying it.

Cutting Down The Tree

We finally got the house cleaned up enough to get the tree into the house. It is always a bit of a challenge. I also cleaned the carpets because they were so disgusting and no one wants to see Christmas pictures on a disgusting carpet. So we went to the backyard and looked for a little tree. All of the good options Eric said I wasn't allowed to cut down. So we had to pick a crowded scraggly one. It is not as bad as the one Eric picked up off the side of the freeway one year that had fallen off someone truck and had no top left. But it is not the prettiest tree. Oh well.

Boys Decorating Their Tree

I brought the boys out their little tree and their ornaments to decorate it. I am not ready to bring in a big tree and decorate it yet. So this kept them happy for the time being.

Santa at Pt Robinson

We took the boys down to Pt Robinson today to see Santa and to take some pictures. It was an amazing day down there. We really lucked out. I am sure the boys were sick of me asking them to take pictures in different places. But tough. My best picture of them came at the very end before we got in the car. Only thing that would have made it even cooler would have been if orcas had come swimming by.
