My mom threw me a small family baby shower over at my Grandma Clarice's house. There wasn't really time to plan a big party since it was so close to the holidays. We do plan on having a big celebration after the baby is born. So we had a small gathering of people. It was really great to see people and we received some wonderful gifts. The hit of the party was a hand knitted blanket and hat made by Pam that Grandma Puz did not want to give up because it was so soft and warm.

Ice Day
We were surprised as everyone else I am sure that after our wonderful snow day next came all the ice. On top of our 6 inches of snow we also had about an inch of ice over everything. And of course that stressed out the trees. I sat there watching huge branch after huge branch snap off the fir trees behind our house. Fortunately it did not bring down entire trees at our house.
It did snap a lot of branches on our flowering cherry tree though. And there was a lot of bushes in our yard that were very stressed but bounced back. It was very pretty to look at, but not really much fun to go outside.
We ended up losing power for 4 days. And technically the only road into our house was closed by the county. But locals cleared a path and were driving on it anyways as it was the only way in and out. We survived though as we had a generator. All in all the ice was kind of cool but we would rather it doesn't come back any time soon.

Snow Day
Eric is home from work today and I am working from home because by 9:00 AM we already have 4+ inches of snow and still coming down hard. So before I started work we decided to go out and play in it a little. Bella of course had a ton of fun and Jessi kitty even came out to say hello.
