Tomato Time
All of the tomatoes are ready are transplanted into their own pots and growing in the greenhouse. It was a bit of a challenge this year to find time. Thank goodness we have lights in the greenhouse so that I can work in the dark. It was kind of nice that Tom was a little interested this year. He liked to help me fill up the pots with dirt. Then I would show him the seeds and tell them what each seed that we planted in the greenhouse would grow into. And we have been checking back on their progress together. I think once there are things to eat he is really going to be excited. We have lettuce and radishes but it didn't really like either of those. He has been enjoying our asparagus. And we talk about how it came out of our garden. I am sure it will be a challenge again this year to get him to not eating everything that he sees and mass amounts of it. We don't want to have to put him on apple restriction again this year :)

10 Month Old
Jake is 10 months old today!
This month Jake had his first Easter.
Jake is standing up a lot playing with toys all over the play room. He is falling down a lot so there are lots of tears. But he is very adventurous and wants to get back at it after a couple minutes of cuddles. He is walking while holding onto our hands now, but still a little unsteady. He has started to refuse naps a little nap because he has figured out how to stand up in his crib even with the brace on. So it has been taking a little more work to get him down to sleep. But we know Tom grew out of this phase so I am sure Jake will too.
We have also hit the begining of the battle of the diaper change. I get to work on all my wrestling moves. Fortunately I an still strong enough to take him on at this point. It is more challenging than with Tom because we get the fun on putting on his brace three times a day while he is trying to roll around.

Jake is babbling a lot lately. Not really getting any new words out of there yet but you can tell he wants to communicate. He gets really excited at bath time to the point were it is hard to even hold him. And he has started squealing when Dad walks by without saying hi to him just like Tom used to.
Tom and Jake are getting a little better with playing together at times. We keep trying to explain to Tom that he only knows what a couple words mean and he doesn't understand what we are talking about. And I think Tom is slowly understanding that. He has started offering toys to him more. There is still a lot of knocking Jake around, but most of it is just that Tom runs around like crazy and doesn't watch where he is going. There is less intentional pushing. Jake has started to throw toys now. I am sure he learned it from watching brother. But now we do have to watch out for toys coming from both directions. I don't think the rambunctious boy madhouse will end any time soon.
We have been trying out cut up foods but he has had a little trouble with choking on them still. The only things he seems to be really able to eat with no problem is his little cereals. He demands more of them all the time. And if you don't get more on his tray he gets very upset.
No teething this month, thank goodness. We did have to battle pink eye, but it wasn't too bad other thing him screaming about getting the drops in his eyes.

Opening Day
It took a fair amount of planning, but I made it to Opening Day and didn't have to take any kids with me. They even won the game. Looking forward to another season. Go M's!

Easter
We had a quiet Easter at home. But Tom had a great time. He died the eggs which he loved. And he was very attached to his eggs. He was constantly asking about them until we hid them and he got to see them again. They got little Easter baskets and a couple little chocolates, which Tom loved of course. And before bed time they played with the glow bunny ears and glow sticks which was probably the most exciting part of the day for them.

Eric decided to drive around at 5:30 AM on Saturday to find a shot of the eclipse. He did get a shot of it. I slept in :)
