It was mostly a quiet Halloween. We watched movies and the Seahawks and hung out at the house most of the day. Then we went uptown for some trick or treating. It was a lot of fun to see all the costumes. Then we did a little bit of trick or treating around the houses in gold beach. The boys got quite a bit of candy. Not sure how they are ever going to finish it all. They had a great time.

Halloween Drive Through
To cap off the night we went to the Halloween drive through at Camp Burton. They did a Tim Burton theme. It was hard to take pictures but very cool. The person who played Jack did a great job and was even signing the song with the music. Wish we could have gone in the 18 and over section but didn't want to chance giving the boys nightmares.

Pumpkin Walk
We went to a new event they started up this year. A pumpkin walk at the Judd Creek Trail. There were so many people there. Cars were parked on the side of the road all the way down the street. They added lights and pumpkins. So many great pumpkins to see. Tommy counted 113. It was a lot of fun. And we got a surprise visit from a little owl. There was all of a sudden a traffic jam at the end of the trail. No one was quite sure what was going on. Then we get up to the boardwalk and people are pointing in the tree right next to the trail. There was a little owl. Looking at it people were not sure if it was a decoration or what because it was so close to the people. But it blinked it's eyes and you could see it was just a little owl watching the show.
If you go to this link you will see more on the owl. Someone snagged a better picture than me and identified it. Never seen this kind of Northern Saw-whet Owl before.
Lena's 3rd Soccer Game
Lena played a tough game. Super cold and windy. They had no subs so the team was working really hard.

Trunk or Treat
Next we went by the Eagles for Trunk or Treat. We even came across a Boba Fett.

Chillin Around Town
We got the boys all dressed up for a day around town. We first stopped and saw Grandma. Then we had to stop at the cantina for some hot chocolate. And then took a little visit to the Saturday Market for some trick or treating.

School Halloween Party
It was school Halloween party day. No Halloween face masks at school so the boys chose Scooby Doo and Harry Potter to wear to school. Jake said he was pretty popular in his costume. People kept signing to them. Although they kept touching his head. Sounds like they had a fun day at school.

Salmon Spotting
We had to go back and check for more salmon with all the rain we had this week. So we went Wednesday after school and work. It was starting to get dark but we saw 5 salmon. The boys that it was pretty cool, especially when on went shooting up the creek.

Salmon Hunt
After soccer we went on a quick hunt for salmon in Shinglemill Creek. Eric saw one swimming around. But by the time me and the boys got there it was hiding. However there was one floater by the bridge. You could see where it laid it eggs not far away on the shore. Hopefully all this rain helps the salmon out because this one had barely even gone up stream when it spawned.

End of Season Jamboree
The boys had their last day of soccer. It was a jamboree today moving around to 5 different fields. Jake scored a goal. I missed it 🙁 Tommy scored a goal. I missed it 🙁 But he did get a second one on a nice cross from Joshua and a sliding kick into the goal. It was a bit rainy, but we have really have lucked out this season. And not one was complaining when they went home with giant cookies as their participation award. They are going to miss soccer so much.

Lena's 2nd Soccer Game
We went to watch Lena play soccer again. She played good defense and also made a bunch of saves as goalie.
5th Soccer Game
The boys had another fun day of soccer. Jake scored his second goal of the season. He had a lot of hustle today. I felt like I didn't catch much of either game today. Every time I walked over to see the other kid they were getting subbed out. But I got lots of steps in today 🙂

4th Soccer Game
Super lucky again and dodged all the thunder and hail storms for soccer. Jake scored his first goal in a game today. I was glad I caught it in the shuffle between the two fields. It was like a slow motion roll from mid field. But he was very excited. Tommy played goalie for the first half today. He made some great saves. But his most memorable play was getting the ball and then running off the field with the ball. He saw his teammate who showed up late. He had been out for a couple weeks. He was so excited he ran off the field to give him a high five. He had to give the ball to the other team for a throw in.

Rally Hats
The boys tried putting on all the rally hats they could find. But there just wasn't enough magic out there today to make it happen. The Mariners did not make the playoffs, but it was exciting to be close.

Fun Night
It was a late night last night. But we had a great time watching the Mariners win. They boys had never been to a game like this before where a packed house was going crazy. Jake was reading his book while the Mariners went ahead 🙂 He might have been the only person sitting. Tommy was going nuts. And he loved the after game celebration. People were screaming, giving high 5s, honking horns. He even managed to get himself (very briefly) on King 5 news. He thought it was so cool.

Season Ticket Holder Night
Go M's! Season ticket holder night is always awesome. Balls at batting practice. Free hats. Half price concessions. And cheering on the M's. Grandma found Tommy a couple chains so he can be a real big leaguer just like he wanted. The chains must have helped him get on the leader board for the speed pitch.
