Kitchen & Bathroom Remodel

Eric and I decided that for Christmas that we would not get each other any big presents. Instead we wanted to use our money towards the house. When we bought the house it needed a bit of an upgrade. Here are a couple of pictures from the day we moved in.

We had already bought a new stove and dishwasher with our gift cards but we still had some work to do. So we decided to spend out money on the rest of the appliances for the house.

Eric bought us a new fridge. It is one of the French door fridges with the freezer drawer on the bottom. It is great. It has so much usable space.

And even though the freezer is a little bit smaller we weren't really worried about that because we have a chest freezer in the garage.

And I bought us a new washer and dryer. We were so excited to get rid of the old ones. They were so loud. The new ones are so quiet. The washer spins at 1100 RPM and the clothes come out almost dry so they only take 40 minutes in the dryer. And the new ones take up less space so we had enough room to put in some shelves to hold our laundry stuff. We love them.

We also had been talking to our neighbor who is a remodeler for a while about putting granite countertop in our kitchen. So we got some samples from him. We decided that even though we liked the dark granite with red flakes in it that it would make our kitchen look too dark. We don't get much natural light in there so we went with a lighter color.

We also bought a new sink and facet as well as an instant hot tap. We are so happy with everything and glad that we had it done.
