VYBS Baseball Season

Today was the end of the VYBS league season. It ended in dramatic fashion with a close fought game. So proud of Jake. He has been working really hard on his baseball skills. It hasn't been the sport he has been greatest at. He still has work to do on his defense. It is hard getting around when you just turned 11 and already have size 9 shoes. But he has really improved in his hitting. He had two legit line drive doubles up the middle today. Way to go Jake!

Tommy also had a great season both hitting and in the field. I don't have a ton of pictures as I only got to see a few games. But, he got to learn the skill of traveling to away games with friends, and figuring out how to order dinner (hopefully not just candy and soda) with his $15 allowance. As much as I would like to make all of his games, he did like the freedom to get to travel on his own with the team.

Jake's Birthday

Today is Jake's 11th birthday. He wasn't the happiest about spending his birthday at Tommy's baseball tournament in Wenatchee. But we did buy him some water guns to stay cool. Once Tommy was out of the tournament we took them down to the river to cool off. And we will be celebrating his birthday in a couple weeks. He is still my goofy little kid who loves cheese. Just getting taller.

Tommy had a free day at home. I wouldn't let him spend the entire day on his screens. So he decided to do some kindling chopping. He got quite a bit done.
